The Discovery Quiz is a personalized onboarding experience that recommends the best AssisT features for you. Instead of browsing through 35+ options, answer 6 simple questions and get a customized toolkit.

How to Start the Quiz
- Click the AssisT icon in your Chrome toolbar
- Click “Discover Your Tools” in the popup header
- The quiz opens in a new full-screen tab
What the Quiz Asks
The quiz covers 6 areas of your learning experience:
Question 1: Reading Challenges
“Do you find reading on screen tiring or difficult?”
- Features affected: Text-to-Speech, Reading Mode, Reading Guide, Dyslexia Font
Question 2: Writing Challenges
“Do you find typing or writing ideas down challenging?”
- Features affected: Voice Input (STT), Auto-Punctuation, Voice Commands
Question 3: Focus & Attention
“Do you struggle to maintain focus while working online?”
- Features affected: Focus Mode, Reduced Motion, Pomodoro Timer
Question 4: Visual Comfort
“Do bright screens or certain colors cause discomfort?”
- Features affected: Dark Mode, Color Overlay, Text Customization
Question 5: Organization
“Do you need help keeping track of research and notes?”
- Features affected: Annotations, Citation Manager, Text Statistics
Question 6: Language & Comprehension
“Do you sometimes need text simplified or translated?”
- Features affected: Translation, Dictionary Lookup, Simplify Text

Can I retake the quiz?
Yes. Access the Discovery Quiz anytime from the popup. Each session starts fresh.
Will the quiz change my current settings?
Only if you click “Apply & Close”. Browsing through doesn’t modify anything.
What if a feature I want isn’t recommended?
All features remain available in the full settings panel. The quiz just highlights what matches your responses.
Can I adjust features later?
Absolutely. Enable or disable any feature anytime from the extension popup. The quiz is just a starting point.
Is my data shared?
No. All responses stay on your device. Nothing is sent to external servers.
